Alexander Memorial Gardens is a hidden gem within the city of Toronto, Canada. Built to honour the man who composed the nationally beloved song, “The Maple Leaf Forever” in 1867, the Gardens feature blooming flower beds, decorative stone balconies and, of course, plenty of maple trees.

In 2022, Terri Jankelow joined the Tails of the World project, uniting with professional photographers around the globe to help raise over $22,000 for pets in need. She photographed ten Toronto dogs at the Alexander Memorial Gardens, to raise $1000 for Just Paws Animal Rescue.

Here’s one that put a smile on this author’s face - from my very own hometown of Melbourne! Paul Tadday did a wonderful job photographing dogs around the colourful landmarks of our city - from the historic Royal Exhibition Building, to the banks of the Yarra River, to the bustling city centre at Fed Square and Flinders Street.

Paul raised $1000 for Arctic Rescue Victoria, a small group of volunteers dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of Arctic breeds. You’ll even spot a few of those furry giants in his photoshoots.
