BRISBANE PET PHOTOGRAPHY
Although Brisbane is Queensland’s largest city, it is only a short drive before finding yourself in agriculture or rainforest areas. The Brisbane River that meanders its way through the centre of the city, past historical builds and high-rise architecture, all the way to Moreton Bay.
In 2023, Pam Hart joined professional photographers around the globe to make a difference for pets in need with 'Tails of the World'. This unique collaborative project celebrates dogs with an annual coffee table book and our latest volume has raised over $65,000 for animal rescue!
Pam raised US$1350 for Precious Paws Animal Rescue (PPAR) with photoshoots at ten stunning locations all around Brisbane. There was the country towns of Marburg and Old Petrie Town, where you'll find heritage buildings and antique stores. In Ipswich, Pam captured the old world charm of Queens Park and heritage listed Karragoo House in Eastern Heights. The classic Aussie beachscape was celebrated in Nudgee Beach and at Redcliffe Jetty. Right next to the Brisbane Powerhouse is New Farm Park. The Powerhouse hosts live arts, weekend farmers' markets and moonlight cinema. A short drive from Brisbane is Toowoomba, also known as the Garden City. It's home to hundreds of dog friendly parks as well as the iconic Carnival of Flowers. Finally, heading into Brisbane city Pam photographed at Southbank and Captain Burke Park. At Southbank, the Brisbane river comes alive at night and the Captain Burke Park boasts impressive views of the entire river from under the Storey Bridge.

ABOUT PRECIOUS PAWS ANIMAL RESCUE (PPAR)
Precious Paws Animal Rescue (PPAR) is based in Queensland and was formed in 2016 with a commitment to saving the lives of pound and “at risk” dogs in the community. Dogs from remote communities with no rescue options, dogs with heart-worm, a curable but expensive diagnosis, dogs with other illnesses or injuries or life threatening challenges. These dogs are the ones they seek to help. This passion lives on today and as a result many, many dogs otherwise destined to be euthanised are alive and well living as part of their new family. As a not for profit charity, PPAR relies heavily on the commitment of their supporters to continue to fund their rescue activities.
