BOSTON NORTH SHORE PET PHOTOGRAPHY
Along the sea coast between Boston and New Hampshire is a stunning stretch of rocky coastline and seaside towns known as the Boston North Shore. There are no shortage of scenic locations for dog lovers to explore with their furry pals in this area, so photographer Darlene Woodward picked six of her favourites to feature in Tails of the World: Volume Two.
In 2023, Darlene Woodward joined professional photographers around the globe to make a difference for pets in need with 'Tails of the World'. This unique collaborative project celebrates dogs with an annual coffee table book and our latest volume has raised over $65,000 for animal rescue!
Darlene raised US$1000 for MSPCA Nevins Farm with ten pet photoshoots at some of her favourite locations along the Boston North Shore. From waterside views at Salisbury Beach and Chandler Hovey Park, to the woods of Georgetown-Rowley State Forest. Allyn Cox Reservation and J. Donovan's Reservation are both part of the Greenbelt Land Trust, which has over 50 conserved properties throughout the region, all open to the public. Then there’s Kelsey Arboretum in Boxford, MA, the photographer's hidden gem. Designed by early 20th century landscape architect, Harlan Kelsey, the Arboretum features four acres of "hardy American" plants including rhododendrons, azaleas, mountain laurel and more. It is a peaceful place to walk leashed dogs.
