There is nowhere in Nova Scotia that is more than 60km from the sea. With endless shorelines, coastal towns and a thriving fishing industry, it is hardly surprisingly that water featured in all ten of the fundraising photoshoot locations by Born 2 Run Photography for the Tails of the World project. Photographer Desiree Nickerson raised $1000 for SMART Rescue, a group dedicated to helping Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes and Alaskan Huskies in need.

When the call went out to photographers to help us with the Tails of the World Book, Darlene joined us once again. She photographed thirteen dogs at four stunning Georgetown locations: from the beach, to the forest, to colourful downtown. Her shoots raised another $1000 for MSPCA, helping them on their mission to protect animals and prevent cruelty.

CJ Ashmore of Pawfect Photo Moments loves photographing pets in action, so living in Colorado provides the perfect, epic backdrops for his dog portraits. In April 2022, CJ joined pet photographers around the globe for the Tails of the World project, helping to raise over $20,000 for pets in need. He photographed Frost and Lou, two beautiful Bernese Mountain Dogs in Ute Valley Park and raised funds for Wild Blue Cats charity.

In April 2022, Christabel joined 30 other pet photographers around the globe to raise money for animal rescue with the Tails of the World book project (2022 edition).
Christabel photographed ten dogs exploring various local country estates, mansion gardens and castle grounds, raising over $900 for Many Tears Animal Rescue (MTAR). The rescue group has foster homes throughout the UK, and they take in and rehome primarily ex-breeding dogs who are no longer required; those on ‘death row’ in the pounds and those whose owners are no longer able to keep them.
They are a unique rescue in that the majority of our dogs are ex-breeders and many have never seen the outside world before. The rescue has grown considerably since it first opened and now homes in excess of 3,000 dogs a year.

It’s a city that values art and culture, so when photographer Cassie Thurrott set out to capture ten dogs around the city to raise funds for Infinite Woofs Animal Rescue Society, she knew that she wanted to also celebrate her city’s colourful soul.
Edmonton’s Rust Magic International Street Mural Festival brings local and international artists together to decorate the city with murals, and several of these beautiful backdrops featured in Cassie’s photoshoots! Her photoshoots also explored the local River Valley, home to popular Edmontonian features such as the Muttart Conservatory, over 130km of trails (including some popular dog parks) and the stunning city skyline. All in all, she raised a wonderful $700 for Infinite Woofs Society, to help with their work rescuing and rehabilitating unwanted, abused and neglected animals in Edmonton.

Home at Last Dog Rescue is a group of volunteers whose goal is to save the lives of homeless dogs suffering in high-kill shelters and their goal is to provide an alternative to the purchase of puppy mill and pet store dogs. Carol Arscott joined professional pet photographers around the world by holding fundraising photoshoots - she photographed 10 local dogs, all adopted from Home at Last Dog Rescue, and raised $1000 in total for the organisation.

Tri-Valley Animal Rescue is dedicated to placing homeless animals in their forever homes and giving back to the community with a teen program that allows young people to help animals in need and learn about responsible pet ownership. Angie herself has adopted four dogs from Tri-Valley Animal Rescue, so when it came time to pick a charity for her Tails of the World fundraising shoots, she knew exactly who to help! Angie photographed six beautiful doggos around Danville, California and raised $400 for Tri-Valley Animal Rescue.

Throughout the years it has served many functions and now focuses on the care and placement of companion animals.
