TORONTO DOG PHOTOGRAPHY

When photographer Karen Weiler of Posh Pets® Photography joined 30 other artists for the Tails of the World project, she thought long and hard about how her furry models would best represent the city of Toronto. Karen chose Sheldon Lookout for her shoot location, with spectacular views of Lake Ontario and the iconic Toronto skyline in the distance. She photographed the twelve dogs against this backdrop, raising $1,100 for Fetch + Releash dog rescue.

Warry

Warry was saved from the streets of Mexico after years of neglect. Many thought they were burns, but it turns out he has an autoimmune disease that has left him without hair in places. This doesn’t stop Warry though, and he can do anything any other dog can do and he now spends his days living his best life with his sister, Dusty. Lucky

Lucky is a doodle and part-time model from the GTA. He came down into the city in the early hours to participate in Tails of the World. Follow Lucky on Instagram: @montydoodle

Gnocchi

Gnocchi was rescued by K9 advocates in Manitoba from a reserve where she had suffered abuse and and bitten. Fetch + Releash continued the rescue, fostered her, and she is now thriving in her forever home. Follow Gnocchi on Instagram: @lildumplinggnocchi

Ariel + Coyote

Coyote is shy to newcomers, but a total awkward love bug at home. Mum assured me that if we catch him at the right angle, he's stunning. So there we were, his sister Ariel by his side, and the wind caught everyone's ears. The result is a truly stunning photo for the Tails of the World book. Max

Max loves helping other doggies, so this photoshoot on behalf of rescue animals was right up his alley. He also loves liver treats and rubber chickens… ALMOST as much as he loves his mom. Follow Max on Instagram: @max_i._million

Mister Teddy

Teddy believes in kindness and to always help out those less fortunate in life. Cuddles and waggy tails make the world go round. He brought his all to his shoot in behalf of doggies in need. Follow Teddy on Instagram: @misterteddypup

Cheeko

Mishka

Mishka wants you to know how having humans rescue her on the other side of the world changed her life! She is so grateful to have been cared for and rescued by wonderful people in Turkey who then made the effort to send her to her new life in Toronto. Gregorio

Gregorio may be small, but he has the biggest personality. He has all these quirks that thankfully show up on camera and is not camera shy at all. It's his world and we're just living in it! Nahani + Sofie

Nahani and Sofie are both rescues, now enjoying THE best life in Toronto. And no wonder...mum owns a pet store where they get first dibs on all of the good stuff!

Rosseau

Named after Lake Rosseau where my husband and I met, he has been by my side during my health struggles. I couldn’t imagine my life without him. I know everyone says their dog is special, but Rosseau has kept me alive and well through some dark days.
