BRUGES PET PHOTOGRAPHY

The city of Bruges is one of the best-preserved medieval towns of Europe, with much of the original 12th to 15th century architecture still intact. To raise funds for Hoop voor Zwervertjes, Elke Braet photographed dogs in Bruges, at Ryckevelde and in Drongengoed. Ryckevelde is a nature preservation located just outside the city of Bruges and features the Ryckevelde Castle. Drongengoed is another nature preservation, located near the hamlet of Maldegem. Maldegem is surrounded by nature, so wildlife (such as deer, wild boar and foxes) thrives here.

In 2023, Elke Braet of All Nature Photography joined professional photographers around the globe to make a difference for pets in need with 'Tails of the World'. This unique collaborative project celebrates dogs with an annual coffee table book and our latest volume has raised over $65,000 for animal rescue! Elke raised $539 for Hoop voor Zwervertjes, by photographing four shoots around Bruges, Belgium.

ABOUT HOOP VOOR ZWERVERTJES

This organisation is a private charity, who stand for the 'no-killing' point of view. Whenever a cat is brought in, they will not commit euthanasia unless there is a health problem and no cure available. They started in 2014 with the foster care of one wild kitten, found in a green field, and evolved in 'Hoop voor Zwervertjes'. Located in Ooike (Oudenaarde), they now have 9 foster cares where cats can be housed. All these people are volunteers who open their own homes for the care and treatment of abandoned cats. They raise and take care of the cat until he/she is ready to move to her forever home.

ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER

Starting in 2017 as a professional photographer, the main focus lies on the contrast between light and dark, putting more emotions and meaning in the photo. Due to the loss of my own mother at an early age, the subject of 'past - present - future' is a main theme in my photos.

The favorite scènes are Urbex and Urban photographs.

Having won several international awards All Nature Photography tries to create new insights in the dog photography world.
