"Leicestershire-based dog photographer, Gemma Calderon Dog Photography is looking for local dogs to help raise funds for animal rescue by posing for an international photography book. Last year, locally Gemma raised £500 for Dogs Trust as one of the 75 international photographers for Tails of The World, Vol.2. This year the aim is to be bigger and better with 90 photographers from around the world… "

Pawparazzi was the only Indian pet photography company to represent India & I made a conscious decision to feature only Indie dogs & their adoption stories for the shoots. Indie dogs have never been represented globally on a large scale and putting them on a platform felt like an honor and privilege.”

“The clear blue of the sky mingles with the steel grey of sea waves… It’s a beautiful day to be out in Mumbai and young Bruzo is making the most of it. A handsome brown and white indie dog with a curled tail and sharp, pointed ears, he is the apple of his adoptive father’s eye. Today he is being photographed. Yet Bruzo, it turns out, is camera-shy. Despite the best attempts to appease him with his favourite treats, he remains uninterested in posing. His treats catch the attention of a flock of crows. Watching the birds muscle in on his territory, Bruzo suddenly comes alive. A crow flies into the air and he hops up to face the sea link, keeping his eyes on the prize. “That was the final shot,” beams Prathima Pingali, Mumbai-based photographer and founder of Pawparazzi Pet Photography.”

“Alma is the only official professional in our country who has been selected to be part of the new edition of this charitable initiative... "For me it is a great honor to represent my country in this solidarity photography project," she proudly confesses.”

Tails of the World member, Monica Adalsteinsson of @pupandmephoto was interviewed recently by 91.5 KJZZ radio station about her upcoming book project, Tails of Phoenix. Monica launched the project on the 30th September and will be supporting Almost There Rescue.

“There’s something about photographing people and their dogs and documenting that important relationship. It’s so important to show that love, and document that relationship you have. It just makes me so happy.”

Ina Jalil (@inajphotography) made the front cover! This article, in City News Canberra, is all about her Ina’s coffee table book, Tails of Canberra and her gorgeous portrait of Cali made the magazine’s front cover. In 2022, Ina raised $2400 for ACT Rescue & Foster Inc by photographing 73 dogs all around Australia’s capital city.

Spanish pet photographer, Alma González (@verdebonitoblancopolar), has been featured on the dog lovers’ website Sr Perro for her work with the 2023 Tails of the World project. Alma is photographing pets in locations around Principado de Asturias in Spain to raise funds for the Animal Protection Foundation.

Janet Deltuva (@aresemzyphoto) is the photographer behind Tails of the Alamo City. It’s a beautifully photographed, travelers’ resource guide to pet-friendly sites and landmarks in the Alamo City and raising funds for The United States War Dog Association, Inc. and The Mal-FFunctions Rescue. Janet was interviewed by Kens5 News Channel and the clip gives a wonderful insight into Janet’s background and the inspiration behind her pet photography.

Suzy McCracken (@suzymccrackenphotography.com) has been featured in Edmond Outlook, the local community news magazine! She was interviewed about her involvement in the 2023 Tails of the World project and her approach to professional pet photography. Suzy is fundraising for Bella SPCA, the Oklahoma City non-profit that assists low-income, elderly, and terminally ill pet owners with veterinary costs.

"While there are many similarities between people photography and her niche, Suzy says there are a lot of dog-specific skills involved in her work. 'It’s crucial to be able to read a dog’s body language,; she said. 'You’re looking for stress signals and getting a feel for the behavior and personality of the dog.'"
