WILLIAMSBURG DOG PHOTOGRAPHY

Colonial Williamsburg is the USA's largest living history museum. Costumed employees work and dress as 18th-century Americans throughout the hundreds of restored buildings and structures in the 300 acre area. Pets are very welcome here - in fact, they even have their own doggy mascot named Liberty!

Nicole Moyer of Sweet Ellie Photography joined photographers around the world making a difference for pets in need with the Tails of the World project. She raised $500 for Homes Fur Hounds by photographing fourteen dogs around Colonial Williamsburg and nearby Jamestown Beach.

Little Remi stands tall outside of the building that served as Virginia's Capitol from 1705 til 1780. Remi is a cuddly yet feisty six pound Yorkie. He is hard of hearing and has limited vision. He serves as chief snugger at home.

Hazel and Lucy

Hazel and Lucy are loving rescues pups who bring light to everyone they meet. As described by their mom...Hazel is an attention loving goober and Lucy is a sleepy cuddle bug.

Lyla and Marge

Lyla and Marge are both sweet rescues. They love wrestling with each other in the backyard, going for long hikes, and most of all snuggling on the couch with their humans!

Lex

Lex's regal look is well matched with the historic Colonial Williamsburg setting of her photo shoot. Lex is a three year old German Shepherd. Her favorites are walks, car rides, and other dogs.

Ollie

Ollie stuns in the buttercups on a beautiful spring evening in Jamestown! Jamestown Beach Event Park is a family and dog-friendly beach along the James River in Virginia. As you can tell, Ollie loves life! He is always happy and loves everyone he meets. He is just pure joy!

Riley is a very loving and loyal shepherd that is obsessed with playing fetch and sniffing everything outside! She also enjoys taking over the furniture and giving extra sloppy kisses!

Roxy

Roxy is a rescue dog who some say just might be a cat trapped in a dog's body. She's the epitome of a true lap dog and the ultimate cuddler.

Trixie

Trixie's mom says that, "Trixie is a butterfly. She holds a gentle power, she is beautifully fierce, and she reminds people to celebrate the little miracles."

ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER

Nicole Moyer, of Sweet Ellie Photography, is an award-winning pet photographer based in Williamsburg, Virginia. Nicole is dedicated to capturing natural, personality-filled pet portraits. She developed a passion for photographing animals after adopting her rescue pup, Ellie, nine years ago.

Nicole’s intention is to photograph pets in order to record how important they are to their humans and to create meaningful artworks which evoke emotion.
